Grayson,

I can't believe you are already 3 years old!! It just blows my mind how fast time has flown. I love everything about you and how your personality just keeps blossoming. It does make me a little sad to think you are never going to be a baby again. You just keep getting bigger and bigger, but I will always hold you in my lap as long as you let me. You are so precious to me and you constantly keep me smiling. There is no better job in the world than being your mommy. So as time keeps flying by and you keep growing, I am going to reminisce. I have never been as happy as the day I held you in my arms. You were so lovable and cuddly and I just wanted to hold you in my arms forever.

You went from being completely helpless, to smiling, crawling, walking and so much more in your first year. It seems like just yesterday I was planning your First Birthday.

Then you turned 2 and you introduced me to many new things. I learned about the terrible two tantrums, and by the way you were are really good at them.  I learned what a backhoe, big rig, cement mixer, dump truck, and excavator was that year. Your personality blossomed and we had so much fun together.

Now you are 3 and I am so proud of you!!! You are such a big boy and I have so much fun with you. You have a big boy bike now, are way better at putting puzzles together, are really good at painting, are much stronger when you throw tantrums, are almost potty trained, and really good at kicking the soccer ball!!! I love you so much and love spending my days with you. Happy Birthday Grayson!!!!

Birthday Cupcakes + School = Good Times

I just started cracking up when Tandy (aka Grayson's Teacher) sent these pictures to me last night. Every Tuesday and Thursday when Grayson goes to school he just cries and says "No Mama." I hesitate even telling him where we are going when he asks. He never wants to go and once we get there I have to peel him out of his car seat while he's kicking and screaming. Then once in the door, Tandy has to grab him from me and I have to wiggle my way out from him. He's either got my neck or my shirt... you get the picture. I always feel so bad and just wish he'd go in willingly like all the other kids. Then, I saw these pictures!!! He looks so miserable, don't you think? I officially no longer feel sorry for him. It looks like he is doing just fine!
By the way, is he really licking his cake off the table??? Apparently, his teachers saw him doing this and were going to correct him but decided to grab the camera instead. I don't know where he learned that. I promise he never does that at home.

At least, that's what I think the other little boy was thinking!

Who's Who???

I know it's probably pretty easy for everyone to tell them apart in pictures, but there are so many times and so many expressions that Gavyn looks just like Grayson. It's pretty crazy how much they resemble one another and I can't wait to see more similarties as they grow up. So, this is my new game for the blog.  Hopefully,  I can stump somebody one day. We'll see...

Been Pretty Busy...

We had a busy weekend and to top it all off, Grayson turned 3 on Monday!!! Marc was home this weekend and we went to the Wylie Homecoming game on Friday night, the Balloon Festival on Saturday, had dinner with family Sunday and Monday night, watched some Football and we baked cupcakes for Grayson's class yesterday. Marc even managed to make time for hunting during all of this, go figure!!! Grayson had a good time blast at the Balloon festival, even though it felt like summer again. They had every kind of Air Castle you could imagine, he especially loved the Space Shuttle! I have to admit, it was pretty neat. I have never seen a Space Shuttle air castle before.

Enjoying the Weather

The weather has been so nice here lately, we just couldn't resist going outside to play.

bAd HaIr DaY

I'm not really sure what to do about this hair...Grayson's was pretty wild, but I would say uncomparible to  Gavyn's!!! It just keeps getting wilder by the day. Maybe he needs a haircut at the young age of three months, I don't know.  Maybe if we start with regular haircuts now, it won't be as disastrous as Grayson's haircut experiences.

a lot of rain, a little dancing in the rain, video games, cupcake making, warm baths and time with daddy. It's finally starting to feel a little like fall.

9-11

I have been thinking a lot today about what happened on 9-11-01. It was such a tragic day in history, but a day that will never be forgotten. God bless those who lost a family member or friend on 9-11 and those who have lost a loved one during war. Just a quick thank you to all our service men and women who are fighting for our freedom and a special thank you to my brother for his service. Love you Garrett and miss you so much.

Toy Story

Every time we watch Toy Story Grayson runs to get his red cowboy hat. He won't wear it any other time, but he wants to imitate all the characters on the shows he watches. I just happened to have my camera out so I captured his own personal "Woody" moment.

I came across this quote today and thought it was worth posting... "Don’t let fear of failure discourage you. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside. You are a great power for good. You will make the world a better place. Lift up your chin; walk tall. God loves you." D.F. Uchtdorf
