Brotherly Love

These sweet little moments are somewhat rare around the house. Every now and then, Grayson is so sweet to Gavyn and wants to hug and love on him. However, now that Gavyn is scooting around he often ends up way to close to Grayson's toys. Grayson doesn't like to share his toys with "bubba" yet, we are working on it.

Enough of the mushy stuff, and on to being a "ROCK STAR!" He was so wound up before bed one night, I felt like I was really at a rock concert from his performance.

Finally, sometimes once paci is just not enough.

"I Built It"

We took Grayson to the "Build and Grow" clinic at Lowe's last weekend to build a Tic-Tac-Toe Box. Grayson just so happened to love the whole process. If you haven't taken your kids, it's a little cheesy, but they'll love it. I think the parents do more of the work than the kids. When we first arrived, they gave Grayson an apron and a hammer. Next, he got his kit and the Lowe's helpers just went around the table to assist with the the project. It was a little hard for Grayson, but with our help he did it. He tried really hard and was so proud of his box. After he built his box, he got a certificate and a patch to put on his apron. Now he can't wait to go back!

MONSTER JAM

Last Saturday, we went to see the Monster Truck's and it totally rocked.  Seriously, it was a lot of fun... I even loved it! It was pretty exciting to watch to watch the trucks flip, crash and do tricks! They also did a little tribute the all the soldiers and veterans that were there, so that was cool. Gavyn was a little confused as to what was going on.  Once he figured it all out,  he even liked watching the trucks. Overall, it was a success and is already on our to do list for next year.

"Oh, yeah... this rocks! You think they have this every weekend?"

rOcK cLiMbInG

Grayson's new favorite thing is "rOcK cLiMbInG" and he loves it. He talks about it all the time and never gets enough. There is a wall inside the mall, and so far he's been three times since we have been here.  At first, he had to have a lot of help before he figured out how it worked. Now, he can climb all the way to the top. It's pretty fun to watch him accomplish it all by himself.

"The Tooth Fairy"

Grayson saw the previews for "The Tooth Fairy" the other night, and said he wanted to go see the movie. I took him after school today and he really liked it. However, it didn't compare to "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" in his eyes. Grayson just can't seem to get enough of those furry little critters. He wants to see the movie again, and go to McDonald's every chance he gets to get chipmunks in his Happy Meal. Fortunately, they are still on display at the theatre we go to. Grayson just couldn't resist taking a picture with them. Meanwhile, the weather has been absolutely beautiful the last couple of days. We couldn't resist playing outside and, well, putting Gavyn in the back of the dump truck!

(My dad sent me this yesterday. I really liked the message so I thought I would share. It is so true.)

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

cheap entertainment...

I love watching Grayson and Gavyn take a bath together. Gavyn loves to watch Grayson do just about anything. They have so much fun and it's always fun to see them laugh and smile together!

Pajama Day

Grayson got to wear his pj's to school today and he was so excited. Probably more excited about getting to eat pancakes at lunch...

Grayson's First Day of School

Grayson started school last week and he just so happened to love it. He goes three days a week and has to wear a school uniform. I thought he might not like the uniform part, but it hasn't seemed to bother him yet. I hope the rest of the semester goes as smoothly as it did his first day!
